Our Cracked Up SFX Crack Temporary Tattoos contain 10 sheets of assorted black crack and fracture designs, giving you a huge variety of shapes and sizes that can be applied individually or combined to create larger, more elaborate effects across the face and body.
The designs range from fine hairline fractures and branching cracks to larger shattered areas and deep-looking splits. Once applied, they create an excellent base for all kinds of character makeup, from cracked porcelain dolls and possessed characters to statues, stone creatures, supernatural beings and undead effects.
Use them exactly as they are for a graphic black cracked effect, or incorporate them into a larger SFX makeup by working around the transfers with your preferred makeup products to add shading, colour, texture and dimension.
They're also ridiculously handy when you're working against the clock. Apply, integrate into the surrounding makeup and suddenly you've got twenty minutes of hand-painted crack work without actually spending twenty minutes painting cracks.
Start with clean, dry skin free from oils, moisturiser and makeup in the area where the transfer will be applied.
Cut out your chosen crack design, leaving a small border around the artwork.
Remove the clear protective film and place the design side down against the skin.
Press a wet sponge or cloth firmly over the backing paper, making sure the entire transfer becomes thoroughly wet.
Hold in position for approximately 20–30 seconds, then carefully lift one corner of the backing paper to check that the design has transferred. If necessary, wet and press again before removing the backing completely.
Allow the transfer to dry before applying additional makeup around it.
For a more realistic dimensional effect, use your preferred SFX or character makeup around the transfer to help integrate it into the skin.
Try adding subtle shadows alongside sections of the cracks to create the illusion of depth, or introduce colour and texture around the design to transform it into cracked porcelain, fractured stone, supernatural skin or something considerably less human.
Gently remove using an appropriate oil-based makeup remover or cleansing oil, working the product into the transfer rather than aggressively rubbing the skin.
Wash the area afterwards and cleanse away any remaining residue.
For external use only. Avoid applying directly around the eyes, lips or to broken, irritated or particularly sensitive skin. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
